• General Category: 63 positions
• Scheduled Castes (SC): 15 positions

• Other Backward Classes (OBC): 14 positions
• Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 11 positions
  • Includes 1 position for Visually Impaired and 1 for Hearing Impaired candidates
• Ex-Servicemen: 14 positions (2 for Disability Ex-Servicemen)

In Ladakh, there are 32 vacancies distributed as follows:

• General Category: 16 positions
• Scheduled Castes (SC): 3 positions
• Scheduled Tribes (ST): 8 positions
• Other Backward Classes (OBC): 3 positions
• Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 2 positions (including 1 for Hearing Impaired)
• Ex-Servicemen: 3 positions (1 for Disability Ex-Servicemen)

Language Proficiency Requirement

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the local languages relevant to their respective UTs:

• For Jammu and Kashmir: Proficiency in Urdu or Hindi
• For Ladakh: Proficiency in Urdu, Ladakhi, or Bhoti (Bodhi)

Examination Schedule

The online Preliminary Examination is set for February 2025, followed by the Main Examination in March/April 2025. Candidates must pass both stages to qualify for appointment.
