Data Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Product Team at a high-growth personal homeowners insurance company. As a Data Analyst at Bamboo Insurance, you will play a critical role supporting data-related initiatives. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure that data needs are being met. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the property and casualty insurance industry.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Produce and validate regular monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to internal and external partners
• Solve reporting and data problems end to end
• Develop deep understanding of data warehouse and assist with deployment of new data fields
• Gather, analyze, and interpret a wide variety of insurance data
• Help design, develop, and deliver business intelligence solutions for the company
• Perform ad hoc data analysis and special projects in collaboration with other departments

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong problem-solving skills. Deals well with ambiguity
• Self-driven and has natural curiosity towards data/analytics
• Some programming experience (e.g. python, R, SQL)

Required Education and Experience:

• 0-4 years of experience (2+ years of insurance experience preferred)
• Technical/quantitative major – e.g. math, stats, operations research, comp sci, engineering

Preferred Requirements:

• Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau or Power BI)
• Advanced Excel capabilities

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Salary: Starting at $75,000 annually. Candidate's skills, experience and abilities will be taken into consideration for final offer.
