Saskatoon, SK – Saskatoon Blades forward Ben Riche has officially announced his commitment to the NCAA’s Quinnipiac University Men’s Hockey team for the 2026-27 season. This decision comes as he wraps up his time in the Western Hockey League (WHL).
“I’m excited to announce my commitment to Quinnipiac University for the 2026-2027 season,” stated Riche. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to play for the Blades, acknowledging the support from the coaching staff and management that helped him grow as a player and individual.
Career Highlights
Riche, who hails from Bethune, SK, was acquired by the Blades from the Victoria Royals. In his first season, he has achieved remarkable career highs with 16 goals, 22 assists, and a total of 38 points in just 26 games. His current five-game point streak includes two goals and four assists.
