Founding Engineer (Part-Time / Equity)

Location: Remote (Australia-based only)

Commitment: ~16–24 hours per week (flexible)

Compensation: Equity only (5–15%, based on milestones) with option for full-time role once funding targets met, budgeted at $200k pa package.

About Integristack

Integristack is an early-stage startup building a vendor-neutral, AI-assisted software recommendation platform—starting with cybersecurity. We help businesses choose the right tools without getting sold to.

We’re in alpha now, manually delivering tailored cybersecurity stack reports to early users. We’ve validated demand and are gearing up to automate our first product.

We’re based in Newcastle, with product and brand advisors in Sydney and Melbourne.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be the technical lead responsible for taking Integristack from manual alpha to MVP. You’ll be working closely with the founder and our product advisors to:

• Build a functional MVP to deliver automated recommendations based on user input
• Work with structured business logic, scoring frameworks, and a growing product database
• Develop a scalable foundation for a modular, extensible recommendation engine
• Shape technical decisions that set us up for long-term product growth

What We’re Looking For

• Full stack or backend engineer with experience in building scrappy but scalable MVPs
• Comfortable working solo or with a lean team
• Ideally experience with recommendation systems, matching logic, or scoring algorithms
• Bonus: experience with survey-based or form-driven tools (Typeform, Airtable, no-code APIs)
• Pragmatic, self-motivated, and values-aligned—someone who’s in it for the right reasons
• Extremely favourable: some experience building zero to one software for early stage startups
