Job Description The Project Coordinator will coordinate all operational aspects of small to medium size client projects and will support Project Managers in executing large global client projects. Project Coordinators serve as a key resource for keeping project execution on track internally through project planning and monitoring. Primary Responsibilities
- Partner with the client team to define project scope and objectives to work out clear and achievable deliverables.
- Create a clear and detailed project plan (may include resourcing, planning, risk mitigation, quality control and organizational requirements) that can be validated and executed upon.
- Autonomously manage the execution, withing given scope and supported by senior colleagues (which may include multiple consulting work-streams, multiple stakeholders, and multiple countries)
- Scheduling, tracking and monitoring of projects and internal & external meetings
- Coordinate, plan, monitor and drive project activities, manage project risks and resources, and take corrective actions when necessary to guarantee that the project is delivered according to the project plan and expectations.
- Track project financials, together with the revenue manager, including monitoring the budget, revenue forecasting, billing process, time and expenses, invoicing, and that to keep and maintain a financially healthy project.
- Communicate and escalate with key stakeholders on the project status regarding forecast, completion rates, variances, billings, and backlog on projects.
- Serve as primary point of contact for client information, updates, delivery, issue resolution and data tracking.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and professional client interactions through seamless delivery of Korn Ferry solutions to clients in order to develop and foster a trusted partnership.
- Develop expertise in Korn Ferry’s solutions to be able to understand the client’s context and needs and how the project needs to be designed and managed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Professonial Experience, Other Qualifications & Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in project or account management with an understanding of business and effective management practices.
- Experience with global project management preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint with the ability to learn challenging internal software programs.
- Experience with Smartsheet, or other project management tools and/or SAP is a plus. Ideal candidate has experience in working in training or consulting firm whose focus is people performance improvement.
- High detail orientation with the ability to understand the big picture.
- Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to anticipate problems and identify alternative solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with cross-functional and remote teams, at all levels of the organization, both internally and with clients.
- Excellent organizational and follow-through skills; able to prioritize and manage many simultaneous tasks and priorities.
- Willingness to adhere to established processes while keeping an eye for opportunities to improve or develop processes, structures, and systems.
- Business skills and aptitudes necessary to accurately manage project budget, monitor expenses, and ensure accurate invoicing and collections.
- Comfort in working with people from diverse backgrounds (e.g., race, gender, orientation, cultural, etc.).
- Occasional travel is likely.
- Language requirements: German - native, English - fluent
