Valearnis is an innovative Edtech company that’s creating a learning platform for high school students, seeking to revolutionise the education industry! We are a small startup of 13 members, consisting of marketers, developers, artists, animators, and educators. We're a supportive team all working towards a common goal that we're passionate about.

We're seeking a Social Media Content Creator (video) to join our team, if you're an intelligent, passionate, intuitive, and helpful creator, we highly encourage you to apply!

Requirements:

• Content Creation and Filming
• Comfortable and confident appearing on camera; personable and engaging on-screen presence.
• Experience creating engaging, educational, and entertaining video content suitable for social media (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.).

• Video Editing Skills
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g.,Capcut, Premiere Pro, Canva etc).
• Ability to produce high-quality videos with engaging transitions, captions, overlays, and graphics.
• Familiarity with creating short-form, trend-focused content that aligns with platform best practices.
• Trend Awareness and Responsiveness
• Strong understanding of social media trends, trending sounds, challenges, memes, and current events.
• Ability to quickly adapt content to capitalize on viral moments or trending topics.
• Technical Equipment
• Must have access to good quality filming equipment (camera or high-end smartphone) capable of recording professional videos.
• Possess clear audio recording equipment (quality external microphone preferred but not required).
• Basic knowledge of lighting.
• Content Strategy and Planning
• Ability to independently plan, script, storyboard, and execute video content based on provided guidelines or brand direction.
• Familiarity with educational content creation (e.g., explainer videos, instructional content, tutorials, news-style content).
• Communication and Collaboration
• Strong communication skills to align content creation with company goals.
• Ability to receive and incorporate feedback to enhance content quality.
• Additional Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Haves)
• Experience in the education, EdTech, or AI sectors.
• Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator) for thumbnails and basic visual assets.
• Understanding of SEO fundamentals and video optimization best practices.
• AI video generation experience with services like Sora

Fully remote available - online work (work from home)

15-20 hours per week
